Specific Duties:
- Staff a 24 x 7, 365 day-a-year Intelligence Watch Officer position in support of J2 surge operations as needed. Assist the Command Duty Officer (CDO) understand, manage, and mitigate incidents on the DoD GIG. Maintain 24 x 7 communications with the analytical divisions and J2 leadership. Assist in the development and management of daily intelligence reports and briefings.
- Update and maintain USCYBERCOM /J2 websites on the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, NSANet and Stone Ghost systems.
- Be familiar with and execute all DoD Directives, Instructions and policies that apply to Information Systems, Sensor Grid, Incident Handling and IA, security accreditation and evaluation and CND.
- Responsible for providing liaison to DHS/US CERT, IC-IRC, NSA-NTOC on Government Network Defense issues.
- Monitor information provided to the JTF-GNO for evidence of unauthorized or malicious activity and attack, provide notification to Command Duty Officer (CDO), and ensure coordination of the information with JTF-GNO personnel
Required Skills:
Response to identified network cyber incidents; analysis, containment, eradication of malicious code; dissemination of AS&W to enterprise and CNDSP community; cyber trend analysis; CND/CI coordination and reporting to DIA, DoD and IC; malware analysis. Job may require evening and weekend work during major network defense incidents; may include travel and temporary duty.
Qualifications:
Requires GCIH/CSIH certification and 3 years network defense/information assurance experience.
