Location: Arlington, VA moving to Ft. Meade

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI

Specific Duties:

  • Support the Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations Command Duty Officer in the Global Network Operations Center (JTF-GNO) to maintain situational awareness of relevant intelligence information concerning threats to DoD's Global Information Grid. JTF-GNO directs the operation and defense of the Global Information Grid (GIG) to assure timely and secure Net-Centric capabilities across strategic, operational, and tactical boundaries in support of DoD’s full spectrum of war fighting, intelligence, and business missions. Provide All-Source and Open-Source Intelligence for the J2 and Command Staff.
  • Review and post J2 Intelligence products (Alerts/Bulletins/Reports) to unclassified and classified networks. Conduct research and analysis compiling relevant open source intelligence to incorporate for Command products.
  • Participating in Intelligence and NetOps Video Teleconferences and other collaboration forums on intelligence matters relevant to the Command's mission in defense of the Global Information Grid (GIG).
  • Research/Analyst tools that are utilized: JTID, JTIP, ROSL, HOTR, COLISEUM
  • Assist in populating, modifying, and updating the data in the Joint Threat Incident Database (JTID) and the Joint Threat Intelligence Portal (JTIP).
  • Maintain 24x7situational awareness for the J2 and J2 staff of Command issues during duty and off duty hours.
  • Be familiar with and execute all DoD Directives, Instructions and policies that apply to Information Systems, Sensor Grid, Incident Handling and IA, security accreditation and evaluation and CND.
  • Responsible for providing liaison to DHS/US CERT, IC-IRC, NSA-NTOC on Government Network Defense issues. Communications include voice over secure and non-secure telephones, DRSN phones, e-mail and message traffic over the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS networks and verbal communications with other JTF-GNO and GNC watch personnel. Other official communications come from Combatant Command(s), Services, Agencies (CC/S/As), DoD and other Government Law Enforcement Agencies, IT and Systems Security communities, and Intelligence Communities (ICs).
  • Monitor information provided to the JTF-GNO for evidence of unauthorized or malicious activity and attack, provide notification to Command Duty Officer (CDO), and ensure coordination of the information with JTF-GNO personnel.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of IA field concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with short term analysis and reporting in support of indications and warnings and threat warnings
  • Familiarity with DoD approved architectures, Defense Information Infrastructure, Defense Information Systems
  • Network and Shared data environment
  • Ability to conduct detailed stand-up briefings to senior level managers on watch events/activities.

Qualifications:

Five to seven years of experience in IA technology or related area
